
Le Pont des Arts
Once adorned with countless "locks of love," the Pont des Arts captured the hearts of lovers from around the world. This iconic bridge, connecting the Louvre to the Institut de France, became a canvas for emotions and declarations of eternal bonds. As Victor Hugo wrote, "To love or to have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further." Though the locks are gone, the spirit of romance endures in every step across this historic landmark.

Left behind
The first victims of migration are children. In Eastern Europe half of those who emigrate are women who, in most cases, leave their children at home, entrusting them, at best, to grandparents, or to elderly neighbors, or at worst, and too often, just abandoning them to fend for themselves.

The last gladiators
About 2000 years after the end of the empire, Sergio Iacomoni set up the gladiator school - in Rome - in the street where the famous rebellion of the slaves commanded by Spartacus took place in 73 BC.
